Self-Ligating

Self Ligating braces are braces with brackets that do not need ligatures (the small bands that hold the wire in place). Rather than using ligatures or metal ties, the brackets themselves have a trap door that holds the arch wire in place. This creates less friction between the wire and the bracket.

Self-ligating brackets have many benefits. One of the benefits of these types of brackets is that they require less frequent office visits. They are also easier to clean and somewhat more comfortable, as there is less resistance between the brackets and the arch wire.

• In-Ovation C is a translucent bracket that offers fast and comfortable treatment with the added benefit of high aesthetics.  An aesthetics white wire is also used, so no metal will be seen in your smile! 
  With no elastic or metal ties, you will have less irritation, less plaque build-up and less difficulty keeping your teeth clean.    
• In-Ovation R is smaller and has a lower profile than other self-ligating brackets. With no elastic or metal ties, you will have less irritation, less plaque build-up and less difficulty keeping your teeth clean.    
• In-Ovation L MTM offers a superb alternative to removable tray aligners for patients requiring mild-moderate amounts of tooth movement.  100% invisible (behind the teeth), L MTM self-ligating "quick clips" generally work within a few short months to help give you the perfect smile you have always wanted.
